As a guest principal, he has performed with the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra and Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa in Japan.

Originally from Rochester, NY, Jonathan completed graduate degrees with Kim Kashkashian at the New England Conservatory of Music in 2004. Prior to his studies there, he majored in chemistry at Princeton University where he graduated with honors and won the Sudler Prize, the university's highest prize in the arts.
